Hello all I am currently trying to close out a relocation deal from the UK to the US and as part of that my wife will be able to join me and work in the US on an L2 visa.
She currently works as a Ward Sister in the UK which is essentially 1 step above a RN. After quite a lot of research it seems despite having a bachelor's degree (2 in fact) and a few years of both RN and management experience in the UK she will not be able to register as a nurse in the US due to the differences between UK (specialist) and US (generalist, including children and midwifery) nursing education.
We could go down the route of getting her additional hours, training etc to put this right however honestly I'm only expecting my job in the US to be a 2 year role and by the time we get her registered it will be time to go home!
So my question to you good people of Reddit is do you have any suggestions of what a degree educated foreign (non-registered) nurse with junior management experience could target as a potential job role that suits her level and experience?
