"Denim Trousers"?

I just got offered my first ever job (whoo) at a fast food restaurant. My first shift is tomorrow and the manager asked me to wear denim trousers. Unfortunately, I have no idea what they actually are. Are they just normal jeans or something specific? If not jeans, I don't have any and can't afford to go get some for a couple of weeks so what should I wear instead?
