After losing motivation at a job, how did you regain your motivation at that same job?

I have been working as a paralegal at a law firm for almost 18 months. I really like our lagal field and plan to specialize in it after graduating law school.

I was so underpaid when I first started, but I was desperate and had little legal experience to find a better job. Regardless, I was very motivated, where I quickly became the top employee, doing everything I can to improve the workflow and get cases approved.

8 months later, I started losing trust in the partners, as they did not indicate that I'd receive any financial rewards for my hard work; only praise and commendation. So, I drafted a 10 page report discussing many things about my experience at the firm, what I learned, what I plan to do, and why I should get a raise. I asked for a 35% raise (which would get me to a fair salary in comparison to others in the industry). They only gave me 15%, and I accepted because they gave me a 4k bonus at the same time. I was basically overwhelmed with the bonus and didn't think it was ethical to reject their 15% raise.

However, my motivation dropped hard after 2 weeks of the raise and I barely work 40% as hard. 5 months after the raise, I told them I want another raise or I'm quitting. They gave me a 10% salary increase, which was also less than I asked for.

Anyway, I stayed with them after, but I'm so demotivated. Today, I only worked 30 minutes out of 8 hours. I really love my field and I am soo good at it (that they don't even consider firing me). But the fact that I don't get paid well is controlling my mind. I can't get rid of the idea. It is not worth finding another job because I am only working for 8 more months. I don't want to burn bridges with them. They are good people but incompetent managers and cheap business owners.

Am I being ungrateful for all the experience they gave me? How can I get myself motivated again?
