So I used a temp agency to help me get a job after having trouble finding work after college. I got temp to hire job as an analyst. The problem is that my supervisor told me it's only a temp position when my recruiter told me she was told it was going to convert to a permanent role. My friend suggested that I call my recruiter every week asking for updates (I have 6 weeks left.) Is it too much to be calling every week?
The director of the company requested to the VP that I become permanent but I haven't anything. In case I don;t convert to permanent my supervisor is going to extent my temp role 6 months. I got a callback to an auditing/accounting job last week. The problem is that it's a contract position. The upside is that it pays 40% more than my current job. Has anyone gone through a similar situation? My brother and friends say to take the contract job but others are saying to just stay in my current job. Any advice on what to do?
