This is sort of a continuation of my previous post. I have an interview tomorrow and feel guilty that I have to call out. I was sick with food poisoning over the weekend and I called out Monday. Yesterday I found out that one of my coworkers tested positive for covid, and didn't come in and will stay home until he tests negative. So we have one sales representative in the office plus a few other employees. Whenever I call out, the sales reps answer the phone and deal with customers etc. Our HR person tells me almost every time I'm out that "You're the receptionist, your position is very important, we always have to cover for you, we're a small company" etc.... My coworkers are pretty nice for the most part, but I hate calling out.
Should I feel bad that I won't be in tomorrow?
