Had an interview with the governing body of my very small industry. This was on Tuesday the week before last (it’s now Monday this week). Leading up to the interview, communication was strange - they called to offer an interview and said I’d get a zoom link via email, which I didn’t receive for 5 business days (I called a few days in to make sure they had my correct email as I was a little concerned). No apologies for the wait, and they changed the time. Fine. Interview came, I thought it went well, everyone seemed very happy. They told me to expect an answer early the next week (which was last week). I sent a Thankyou email with my referees soon after and did not receive a reply, no big deal.
I didn’t hear from them, so on Thursday last week I tried to call my interviewer. They said she doesn’t take calls, so I sent a polite email asking about the progress of my application. I received no reply and it’s now Monday.
I am honestly quite peeved considering they said they’d tell me a week ago and I’ve got other people waiting for my answer. Im thinking if I don’t hear from them by early next week I will try to email again then leave it. Im also wondering whether I should even accept if they do offer due to the poor communication?
