Advice needed: Behavioral questions

Hi - Next week I’m having an interview with my dream company. I am a Sr. Software Engineer looking to move to a Management role. In the last couple of years I had several interviews and reached the final stage in múltiple FAANGs (on-sites with 4-6 interviews in a day) but never got an offer, neither any feedback even if I asked for it.

Anyway, I feel that I’m not doing well in the behavioral questions. I’ve read some books and sites about how to answer them (STAR method, be yourself, be honest, read the offer and bring samples related to the role, use action verbs to sound more action-oriented, etc), but still seems I’m not good at this. So I’m wondering if anybody can bring any other advice about such questions? I’d been wondering that maybe is the time I take to tell the story - maybe they are too short or too long? I’ve also thought it might be because Im not a native English speaker and maybe I don’t bring the stories in the structure the interviewer would like (I know English speakers prefer small sentences versus the long ones we tend to use in Spanish).

Anyway, last time I interviewed -and succeed- was more than 10 years ago, so any advice somebody could give me will be great. I feel this is my last chance to get that dream job I had been looking for… I mean, I may get something else in the future but not in this company…

Thanks in advance!!! 🙃
