i’m friendly with a recruiter who works in a luxury brand, i’m very interested in working in this company long term. i applied for a beginner level position and reached out to him for tips/ just to let him know I applied. and it ended up as an initial interview! he just asked me basic easy questions about photoshop, illustrator, mailchimp etc. but i didn’t prepare and feel like i could’ve given specific examples in this mini interview. BUT he did say he was proud of me for being so enthusiastic/ working so hard, and to not be anxious if i don’t get a response until new years cause it’s very busy during this season. he also said to reach out if i don’t get any follow up around late December or if i have any questions. i know this is just the first step but if you’ve worked in fashion and specifically luxury fashion is this a good sign? it doesn’t seem like a bad sign
