I’m pretty miserable at my job. The work isn’t what I want to be doing but honestly that wouldn’t be such a problem if it weren’t for my manager. I’m a supervisor in a very understaffed warehouse. I’m having to fill in for positions that I should be managing if we were staffed correctly.
I cried at work today because I asked my manager why certain information wasn’t passed on to me before my shift and she snapped that it wasnnt something that pertained to work so she wasn’t responsible for it. I missed being able to make plans for Thanksgiving with my family because I was told last minute that the schedule had changed even though my manager had let other shifts know a week beforehand. When I pressed her about this she just passed it off as, well so and so was supposed to tell you.
I’m thinking of putting my 2 weeks in tomorrow. Is it a really terrible idea to quit without another job lined up? I have about 5 and a half weeks of PTO that would be paid out but only about 2 grand in savings. I just worry about not being able to find another job.
