Salaried Employee : My boss hits me up over the weekend for non- urgent matters

I’m an executive assistant to the CEO of a small company in CA. I’m a salaried employee fresh out of college so I’m still learning the ropes. Does salaried mean that I need to work over the weekend? Or answer questions that could wait till Monday? I’ve asked several people including my boss what my hours are and his response was “alongside his.” My job description does not state to work weekends.
