Former employer arguing I owe them the price of two computers when I don't

Hi,

I'm a software developer from Brazil, I worked for a company for about ~4 months (WFH), the company sent me two Dell laptops for work purposes, both of which I ended up using and sending back after my termination.

Unfortunately I was let go without cause, however, after letting go I was asked to sign up some documents, which I refused because I don't think there were any reasons to my firing, other than someone not liking me and deciding to get rid of me (for his personal selfish reasons).

The company is now arguing that if I don't sign those documents they'll claim I never sent them the computers (which I did and have proof), I even have proof from them saying they received it.

The documents they want me to sign are not even related to the computer or anything, they are documents about my termination, and I suspect that if I sign they'll use my signature against me provided this ends up escalating.

This seems to be manipulative, and they are clearly acting in bad faith, which is not surprising coming from this company.
