Following up on emailed application…too pushy or not?

I emailed an application for this job about two and a half weeks ago. The day after I applied, I received an email back that they would review my application. They closed the position for applications about a week after I applied.

Should I send a follow up email? I’m just so antsy because I really am interested in the job, but I don’t wanna come off as pushy or annoying. Maybe it’s just too soon to have an answer?
