As a warning to the ones looking for online jobs, pay attention to the language and words used.
Don't under any circumstances give them your bank info, or social unless you are sure by all means they are real.
I've been talking to what I thought was an interviewer for the past 2 days. The interview process felt so legit... except for how they wrote. The language was off, but I just assumed it was short hand.
I was dumb with it.
The went through the whole process, average interview questions you wouldn't expect to be used to steal your identity.
Everything seemed right until the requested online access to my bank account so they could "see that the check goes through, so we can give you ability to use the check". That's when I caught it.
Unfortunately I caught it too late. I had already sent my license and social security. I am now attempting to freeze or track my credit so it isn't tanked.
People can be real assholes.
