I unfortunately was rejected from a job about a week ago after making it through several interviews and working exercises.
I was sent a basic rejection email from the automated service they use to post listings on.
The last recruiter I had dealt with called me this morning, unfortunately my iPhone decided to not pick up the voicemail until 12 hours later. I will call back first thing in the morning, but I’m just curious if anyone thinks this can be good news? I had done an internship for the company and was contacted by another department to apply for the position I was rejected for. Prior to applying, HR told me there were other jobs in the pipeline if I wasn’t ready to apply for that one yet.
I’m VERY new to the job search. I’m curious if this can maybe sound like an opportunity for another job since the recruiter is calling? Or is it likely just an “interview” to receive feedback on my interviews. I know I’ll get my answer tomorrow, but now I’m anxious about it and I’m not sure what common practice in large companies is. If anyone has any idea I would appreciate it. I’m happy to update once I speak w her tomorrow. I don’t want to tell any of my friends, because I told everyone about what I applied for and felt so dumb when I didn’t get it.
Thanks :)
