Pay differnece

Hello, just wanted to see if anyone had thoughts. I (F) recently found out my coworker (M) makes 15% more than I do, and we are the same exact position, and have the same education, and are the same age! I assume it’s because of our experience, he has 5.5 years experience at the same company prior, similar industry and position . And I had 1.5 years at my first company and 2 years at my prior, both similar industry and positions. Does 15% sound about right for 2 years of more experience? I’m just feeling discourage after learning this info! Thanks.
