I currently live near DC and just got a job offer from a major company in Owego, NY. The problem is the new company has crappier health benefits and is more rural than I initially thought. The only upshot is that it is 20k more than what I am currently getting paid and would be good for my career.
How bad is it for my future mobility if I am in the middle of nowhere? I know some employers toss resumes not close to their city.
