LinkedIn etiquette?

Hi, I graduated pretty recently and am new to the whole job applying, interviewing thing and somehow I got a phone interview with a company I am really interested in working. however the only real negative reviews I see about this company are from people who are working this position. Is it weird to contact through linkedin people at the company who are doing the same job to ask about how working at the company is like, or what I can do to increase my chance at working at that company?
