Is there a reason why retail/hospitality/airline workers don't press charges against the lunatics who are assaulting and battering them?

Is it anti-police sentiment, fear of job loss, or something else? I mean, a guy literally broke the facial bones of a flight attendant recently. I complained about this stuff a decade ago. You see posts on here on the retail subs about men shaking and grabbing and kicking women and I get downvoted to hell for suggesting people call the cops. I literally don't know what to make of it anymore.
