Hello, I'm aware there probably has been 1000 other posts regarding trying to join the FBI. Now as a Canadian hopefully it could keep you intrigued as to how I plan to do so? I hope I'm not too naïve.
I plan on having my US green card by the time I finish university in Canada (I'll graduate in 2023). I will have a degree in Psychology and I will join the US marines because I know the FBI very much appreciates military / law enforcement experience, especially experience as a Marine considering how prestigious they are.
With a degree in psychology and let's say 4 years experience in the Marines because I believe that is a full service, and as someone who never gets into trouble and doesn't do drugs / drinking. Would that be good enough to hopefully have a chance to join? I might also pursue a double major in Psychology and CS which means I would graduate 1 year later (2024). I hear many good things about CS majors in FBI applications. I was hoping a degree Psychology would be good enough just in case I find CS to be too hard and drop the program.
TL;DR let's assume I have a degree in psychology, and did 1 full service as a US marine (4 years). What would my chances of joining the FBI look like? And what else could I do to improve my chances of joining the FBI?
