Sigh.. I just need to vent.
I went through a 5-step interview process with this one company. The process took a month.
I applied and was told to do a cognitive/personality test (and I guess I passed it), had a phone screen with the recruiter, interviewed with the hiring manager, presented a business case to the hiring manager and finally then had a final interview with the leadership team (which includes the CEO).
This week I got the rejection email. Apparently, they're looking for someone more senior. I'm upset, surprise and just so pissed. I've explained my work experience in detail throughout this interview process. I thought everything was going well because after each interview, the recruiter contacted me pretty quickly to move me to the next step. If they wanted someone senior, they should've known and told me earlier during the interview process.
Ugh. It's so hard not to feel like it was all a waste of time. This job search process is so demoralizing and I'm just so exhausted. :(
