Been at the same company for about three years. Worked straight through the pandemic non stop , including overtime pretty much every week for the last two years. Due to the pandemic , raises weren’t given for those two years. In that two year time frame I was promoted and have taken on tremendous responsibilities and have become part of the higher level department within my company . When raises finally came along last month. I was given 1 dollar . The department I’m in , I’m making considerably less than the small team I’m part of which has made me question a lot of things .
Today my supervisor pulled me and another employee aside. The other employee has been at my company for about 10 years . My supervisor essentially said that we need to step things up and that our production times weren’t up to par. He went on to say that right now there is a lot of companies hiring , and a lot of people looking for jobs and that we could leave tomorow and they would have someone else to replace us within a week. He then also said that in return we could find another job tomorow that might be better pay but that it would be a risk . It came out of nowhere to me because I feel as if I’ve learned so much in the last few years and have given it my all . I don’t even know where this is coming from or what my next step should be .
