Hi everyone.
I’m thinking of changing career paths but I have no idea how to go about this. I’m terrified of losing the stability at my current job but I am not happy staying doing what I do. My boss and coworkers are great but I hate the work.
I am currently a personal injury paralegal, and my major dislike of the job is customer service. I want to explore other careers that have less focus on customer/client interaction but I don’t have a large skill set to seek other options. I would love any tips on how to go about this or any job positions that offer a easy start. I’m very fast at learning and I’m confident I can pick up quickly.
I have started looking into HR roles but I’m not confident in getting an interview because I don’t have any related experience. I don’t mind interacting with other people on the job and I enjoy working as a group if needed, I just hate the client interaction/customer service.
I graduated with a bio major and business minor. I’ve worked retail, medical assistant and now paralegal. Not a large skill set to explore career changes
I’m okay with going back to school part time/online for certifications and exposure to the field but I’m terrified of spending the thousands of dollars only to find out I once again despise my job.
