I've been working in healthcare since 2019 at a hospital in NYC (office manager). COVID was rough to get through as I had to deal with a lot of stressed out cancer patients.
I have been experiencing severe anxiety since summer of 2020. I decided to try a non patient facing role at the hospital to see if that would help. I am now an admin to a high up doctor at the hospital (no longer patient facing).I have only been there two weeks and my anxiety is still peak. Additionally, my husband received a permanent remote job a week before I started my new role. He is a data scientist and his salary is plenty for the both of us especially if we leave the NYC area. He is onboard with me quitting and would prefer if I did as he saw first hand how bad my mental health has been.
I'm strongly considering quitting, but am even more anxious about putting notice in after just starting a job. Has anyone done this before? Any advice. Additionally, if you have quit with no backup plan how was your experience?
