I got laid off thanks to covid and was happy living off of EDD. I did try looking for work but stopped for months because I was tired of rejection.
I then started looking a few weeks ago and no luck. Then a random person emailed last week and said if I could interview on Wednesday and I said yes. He supposedly saw my Resume on Indeed and that's how he found me. It's a human resources desk type job with decent pay for entry level college job. Anyways I go to the interview and the interviewer was an idiot. I was saying all the right things and knew what I was talking about pertaining the job. She showed little interest in my answers or our conversation. She also seemed like she had a low Iq and had terrible social skills . Her boss was in the back and listening to her interview me and told her to ask me a few extra questions.
Anyways that idiot lady was going to let me go home and said we will call if we are still interested.. I was about to walk out the door... Then the head boss was like give this dude the employment documents and get him hired. Then he went up to me and shook my hand and said he is excited to work with me!
Now I have orientation Monday!! I'm also happy I didn't settle like my friends who just took Amazon warehouse jobs.. I'm glad I waited for a good desk job. I finally got a job offer on the spot after 17 months not working!
