Since graduating college (history major), I've worked in the insurance/finance industry, but I've always hated it and wanted to do something more in line with writing. Now, I've finally landed an interview for a proposal writer for a software company that I've always wanted to work for.
But I haven't really written anything since doing reporting work for our campus newspaper and don't know how to make myself stand out in the interview. How do I make myself succeed when there are probably more experienced writers applying for the same spot and my current job isn't really relevant? The job listing said they "prefer" someone with a technical writing background, but is officially listed as entry level.
