Should I take a new job for less pay, or trust current management who may not be trustworthy.

I work as a cart-pusher at a large retailer, and things have not been going so well there. Pay is alright, but with some new management and narcissistic, micro-managing supervisors, it’s become less bearable. I returned to school last week, and gave my direct manager my availability and school schedule three weeks in advance. I’m available to work up to 30 hours per week, most days are open, and I’m part-time. However, the schedule is always published wrongly, with my availability violated. I spoke to him about it afterwards and he promised to follow it. That promise turned out to be empty.

I decided I had enough, and went to a job interview, and was offered a job at which I will receive about 15% less pay (per hour) than I do now. The next day, I went to my current job ready to resign. My manager was not present, so I approached his manager, the assistant general manager (AGM) of the store. I told him I intended to leave, he asked why. I told him that my availability and hours requirements were not being met. He did not accept my resignation, but rather brought me into the office. I did not fight him on this, I went along with it. Obviously, he did not want me to leave the company. He asked one of the administrators from my file to see what my availability actually is, and the availability I had handed in three weeks prior was not in my file. At this point, he calls in my direct manager, who unbeknownst to me was in the store. He enters the office, and his boss (the AGM) asks him what my availability is. My boss couldn’t produce a copy of it, and instead tries to guess it (he fails). The two of them asked me for what my availability is and jotted it down. Half an hour later, my boss approached me and said it was all fixed.

However, 1 shift remains to be fixed. Obviously, I was disregarded by my immediate boss, who seemingly threw my availability away, but told me he’d accommodate me. At the interview for my potential new job, the manager agreed to accommodate my availability (which I shared) and be flexible. Do I stay and trust them because of what the AGM said, or take this new job for less pay?

TL;DR: i’m not sure if I can trust management at current job, should I jump shit for less pay or see if they get their act together?
