A little background: About three months ago I wanted to leave my job, I actually had another job lined up, and told my boss. We agreed to increase my wage, and change some job duties - so I stayed. My boss also mentioned, that if I ever want to consider leaving again beacuse I don't feel fulfilled working in the distribution center, he can help me get into a position with our supplier (a manufacturer, we are vertically integrated, so its owned by the same company - which is why this can work).
Now - I feel like leaving again. I seriously dont feel fulfilled in my position, but would love to move to our supplier in manufacturing as I see the culture and working environment everyday - I think it'd be a blast to work with them.
I want to be transparent with my current employer, and ask them to move me to the supplier before looking for any other position. However, how much transparency is too much?
Do I tell them I am not feeling fulfilled and would like to take up the offer to move to my supplier? If they cant, tell them to start looking for someone for my role, while I look for something new as well? Kind of a mutual thing. Or do I just leave with the new offer as I would screw my relationship if they cant move me to the supplier.
