asked to a zoom meeting for a job application update - confused and anxious af

i’m currently in the recruitment process for a rotational program at a company i just completed an internship for. i’m going into my final year of uni in a few weeks and this program would begin next fall, so it’s basically gonna be a job that’s lined up for after i graduate.

i’ve been nervous af the whole time, it seems like an amazing opportunity and i keep getting in my head about it. i thought i bombed the interview, but then got asked to complete the next stage in the process. i did an excel test over the weekend (which i think is the final stage of the process), and got an email today asking if i’d be available for a zoom meeting with the lead recruiter.

my bf told me they would have sent an email rejection if that’s what the meeting is about. that makes sense to me as well, why waste a zoom meeting on a rejection? but i’m also aware of the fact that there were about 750 applicants for the program and i was 1 of 20 who were in consideration for the 10 spots in the program. i keep convincing myself that the meeting may be a personal rejection, because there aren’t many applicants left in consideration. they may want to meet over zoom to make the rejection more personal?

the email didn’t give any hints, just that the lead recruiter wanted to meet with me tomorrow to “provide an update on the recruitment process”.

i know reddit probably won’t have the answer, but maybe someone on here can give me a hint as to what to expect? i’m meeting with them tomorrow morning and it looks like i’ll be filled with anxiety until then lol
