And other companies that send this. They're not actual companies, and they're ran by the same person. If someone knows for sure what they're trying to get, please direct reply this post.

First of all, I think you have a great personality and experience, but it is quite difficult to see in your resume for the hiring manager. My advice would be to sit down and have a look at your application once again with a fresh pair of eyes, and see it from the hiring manager perspective. Focus on making sure that you get your narrative right and all the information on the page is essential and concise.  Plus, make sure to focus on your cover letter, strong cover letters avoid cliches and truly support what you’re trying to achieve with your resume. For some fresh perspective, I would suggest you to reach out to any friends that do a lot of hiring, or if you want to work on it yourself get one of the resumes from Laura of Resumefirst or maybe Justin McRay from NYU.
