What’s the point of a mask mandate in the office if you don’t change the ventilation system? Companies are saying, “those with private offices can take it off with the door closed,” last time I checked it’s an airborne virus - doors mean nothing! Keep us WFH or you will be left behind.

I received this today and I’m absolutely baffled at the lack of care and agency companies have in “attracting” and “retaining” talent when the HHS just classified Long-COVID as a Disability and the current R0 is 10-12 by official reports but more than likely 14-16. Even with masks, the R0 is still likely 3.7-5 or 7-8. Meaning for every person infected, that many can expect to be subsequently infected.

This is not WWII, there is no battle to be won by “showing strength” in going back to the office. It’s an invisible enemy without free will - it does not care!

You are risking our physical/mental health for:

• culture - it wasn’t that great to begin with honey booboo!
• collaboration - pay for microsoft project/planner or better yet - yammer. Yammer is like creating a corporate social media page, allow small teams to set up rooms and let them manage it themselves. If it’s that hard to collaborate over the internet with the resources we have, you have another problem, ya stinkin middle manager!
• avoiding economic collapse - NEWS FLASH - people who were unemployed made more money than some of us who continued to work AND had all the time in the world to do what they wanted. My net income would’ve been 49k plus 10k in tax relief with UEB. My net salary while working - 38k. That’s 1.5 years of my salary in 1 year. The economy will be fine IF you pay people living wages AND possibly retrain them for the resources we need if its that vital. 7.3% of the economy is based on restaurants, that is not enough to collapse the system! DO BETTER!
