Hundreds of applications rejected in the past year. Three companies expressed their interest and asked for a writing sample, all 3 rejected me after said sample. I've never felt so discouraged.

I'm an entry-level content writer and I mainly freelance but I'm looking for a full-time job.

Hundreds of rejections is hard enough. But getting rejected after a sample really stings. I try so hard with these samples and I write to the best of my ability and I check them over and over and ask my friends to read them and I do everything to make it as near to perfect as I can. Yet I'm still hit with a rejection. Even after the company said they liked my previous samples that I had submitted with my application.

I now have zero confidence left and I'm questioning everything about my future. Writing was the only thing I thought I was good at and now I don't even know. These jobs don't even offer any feedback so I'll never know what I did wrong.

Job hunting is so unbelievably punishing and cruel, especially for young people who are just enterit the market after uni or college.
