Potential Red Flag during Interview?

Hey guys,

The hiring manager asked me only 2 questions during the interview (Tell me about what you’ve done and what interests you about this job/company. He then proceeded to tell me about the job itself). I just thought it was a bit odd that he didn’t have that many questions for me, like not even about my skills or how I approach certain things (I did mention my skills for one of the questions, but it wasn’t in depth). The lack of questions gave me the impression that he didn’t seem that interested in getting to know me. Like I would expect a hiring manager to be more invested in his potential hire if he has to train and work with them (He didn’t seemed bored at the interview though).

We got along during the interview okay. It wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t bad. His overall energy was also pretty low, but I think he might have had a long week (It was a Thurs., he has a young kid, etc.).

Would this experience (mostly the lack of questions) concern you? I’m mostly worried that it might be a toxic place, and they just need a body so that’s why he didn’t have that many questions for me (I didn’t get any off vibes from him though). I couldn’t find the previous people who worked in the position on LinkedIn as well to see how long they stayed to gauge this. TIA for your thoughts!
