Last week, a project manager reached out to me about an internship with a team I had expressed interest in working for recently, and asked for times to discuss it. I provided times for last week and this week. I haven't heard back yet. Is it worth sending a follow-up email 5 working days later?
Part of me thinks they've been occupied with other things to care about interviewing an intern, or they re-assessed, as I hadn't disclosed the hopeful start date until they reached out, though at this point of the summer, one would expect the internship to commence in the fall, but personally ghosting wouldn't be an appropriate way to handle it after directly reaching out.
