Advice on Connecting with recruiters on linkedin

So I’ve heard from different people that it’s a good thing to connect with recruiters on LinkedIn when looking for a job. So i was thinking of finding recruiters at the company’s i applied for a sending them a message about wanting to work for the company. Any advice on what to write to them. I’m a recent college graduate with not much work experience in my field
