What should I say the next time my boss confronts me with scare tactics?

My boss says I'm not being productive enough. And other new hires seem to also be told that they're too slow.

And I was lowkey threatened with being fired today...

However the more experienced workers told me that it was all a lie and I believe them. Especially because I've seen them work slowly myself. They said it's all just a tactic to trick you into working extra hard for no reason.

But what do I say the next time my boss confronts me? This fear based work environment is really bad for my mental health for sure...but that excuse seems lame.

A very similar thing happened at my old job to me and all the new hires...I can not believe it's happening all over again. I may as well have stayed in that toxic place...
