This thread is filled to the brim with folks busting their asses to find a job. I’ve seen so many (and written a few) posts by qualified and hard working people who have applied to hundred of jobs with no luck. Yet, there’s a widespread narrative that businesses can’t find people to work. I’m also struggling to find a decent paying job even though I feel like a decently competitive candidate. Where is the disconnect? Are we just a generally overqualified population compared to the available jobs? Is job candidate filtering software fucking us all over? Are the methods we use to find jobs and hire employees failing us?
