Is it fair that disabled candidates are guaranteed to be shortlisted to interview if they meet the minimum criteria?

I personally find this discriminating against other candidates.

If a disabled person is able to do the job just like any other person, even if with adjustments, why should they have an advantage over everybody else?

I made hundreds of applications, most of which were personalized, and I'm yet to receive an interview. I'm told due to the high number of applicants I have to meet essential and most or all of the desired criteria.

Maybe I should break my arm so 'Disability Confident' employers feel they achieved justice.

I know someone who mentioned they have a disability or "chronic disease" in their applications (and sent generic applications) and was getting many interviews.

Is this even fair?
