My husband had a bg check for a financial firm that came back and said they could not verify employment so they couldn’t finalize the hire (no real estate company contacted them back out of 3). We told them we could prove his employment so the financial company then sent over an appeal through the BG check company where we provided company letters and 1099s for them, and the letter acted like the “no” was not final for them unless the bg information was indeed correct. We sent over documentation through the background check company 5/28 and the appeal finally made its way to the company on Thursday (6/4). We have not heard from them at (financial firm) in over a week and they have had the appeal for 3 business days now. Idk what to do, my husband feels he’s being a nuisance because he had to send quite a few emails stating errors on his report for the appeal to be sent over in the first place.
I’m starting to feel like no word means a No from them, but I feel like they should contact him and tell him that, idk he turned down another job offer for this one so the whole thing blows. He is qualified and indeed has a verifiable work history but the fact these real estate companies didn’t get back to them is not his fault and out of his control, and like I said we have provided letters and tax info verifying his employment. :(
