Hey guys,
I am supposed to be on contract till Jan 2022 working on a large project for Company X. One that is very political (regarding the public). Following that 2022 deadline… who knows if there will be a permanent opening for me or not. As of now, there are no guarantees or even talk in the works.
Recently, I have been offered an interview for a position within my field of study that I recently graduated from. It’s for a very reputable organization. Company Z.
Now I know I am thinking way far ahead here… but what does everything think if I were to be offered a position with Company Z?… it’s in the field that I want to get into/start my career in… but Company X would be completely blindsided and likely scrambling to figure things out… it would be an extremely difficult conversation to have.
Nothing in my contract states anything about early termination.
Advice? Past experience? Anything would be helpful.
