I work at a bowling alley and I work 4 9-10 hour shifts in a row every week with 1 day in between. While I work I’m a porter (busboy) so I’m constantly moving. If I try to sit down in the break room for a minute to rest from the searing pain my legs are constantly in I get chewed out for not being on the floor. Yet other employees will sit in the break room for 20-30 minutes at a time and the managers don’t care. My wife works at the facility with me and she has a foot condition where she can only work for 6 hours before she won’t be able to stand because it hurts so bad. In the past week she hasn’t worked a shift under 9 hours and they expect her to work 12 hour shifts in the future when she comes home crying because of the pain. We are so overworked we don’t have the energy to clean our home, go on dates, all we can think about on our off days is that we have to go to work the next day. We’re so exhausted but we need this job. Also, they said they would pay my wife a base of $12 but are giving her $11 and never told us. What should we do?
