Relocating isn't really an option at the moment, but I'm going to take this new job either way as it's 100% focused in my field, a pay increase (that will cover the cost of the commute and then some), no longer have to work Saturdays or until 6 pm, etc -- everything is a positive, except, I can't stop thinking about the commute and how much it might suck. Right now it takes me 10 minutes to get to work and 10 minutes home. When I start this new job in a month or two, it'll be 45-50 minutes each way. The plus side is I'll be dropping down to 3 days a week in office, and two days a week at home, so I'll only have to do the commute 3 days a week. Does anyone have any experience with something like this? I've always heard horror stories of 45+ min commutes driving people insane but I'm hoping it only being 3 days won't kill me too much.
