Would you leave a job after six months?

Here’s my situation: I’ve been working in a government affairs role for roughly six months and find little enjoyment in my work. Currently, I’m being paid under market value and commuting nearly three hours per day. While I understand this might be typical of one’s first job post-graduation, it’s begun to take a toll on my physician and mental well-being - I’m exhausted much of the time and finding little enjoyment in my hobbies. To be clear, I do enjoy my field: however, the aforementioned factors make me want to jump ship and head for open waters. Any advice on how to handle this situation? Also, I am unable to relocate closer as my company is headquartered in a major metropolitan area.
