Two weeks notice or immediately leave?

I work with a hyper critical boss and it is wearing thin on the team. Most seem too nice to speak up and just put their head down and work to please this boss. I’ve questioned their behavior a few times. It gets better for a little bit then back to nitpicking everything from the work to my personality.

For my mental health (I get migraines when dealing with this boss and am anxious all week), I’m considering resigning immediately as I am close to receiving another job offer.

Is it common to resign immediately citing quality of life? And yes I’m an at will employee.
