Offered a much better paying job with a longer commute and only 6 months after starting another

Hello. My current lab job has been very frustrating because I have been given nothing do, also forced to work at home partially with no work given. I was recently required to start reporting what im doing hour by hour from home and am getting paid for less hours because I have nothing to show for it. I work for a company that is a contractor at a client site. So my company needs me to report my tasks but the client isn't giving me any work. I have nothing to do when I'm on site as well as they are very overstaffed. After multiple conversations with management, none of this has changed, and its been at least two months since I started speaking up. Its been extremely draining on my mental health being totally useless and having to fight for scraps over anything to do.

I have been job hunting on the side and was offered a job at another similar place, similar job but all onsite with the promise of always having work to do. (They were very understanding when I said why I was looking for a new job so soon and this is a smaller company). The downside is the commute is about 50 mins one way but they offered me 15% more than what I currently make (with a 5% raise after 6 months not performance basesd) which makes up for the gas. Is there any downside to accepting this? There are areas I could move to eventually that are closer. I have commuted 45 minutes to a job before for over two years so im not totally unfamiliar with it. I enjoy podcasts and audiobooks a lot.
