I was supposed to start a job Monday( today) Sunday morning I got sick as a dog and went to urgent care. I was diagnosed with strep and gave an excuse for until Wednesday. I called and told me boss about this and she said “yes that’s fine you can start Wednesday justbe sure to bring your note.” Well this morning my fever never did leave and I went back to the doctor and I have pneumonia in my lungs. She gave me an excuse for the rest of the week and told me not to work for a week. I called and told my boss this and asked her if I could start the next Monday. She got huffy and said “I really don’t care and this looks bad, I’ll have to discuss this with my manager and get back to you tomorrow. I personally don’t care but we need people bad and he probably won’t let you.” What should I do? Who the hell wants you there with pneumonia. I mean it isn’t like I’m lying and I have proof I went to the doctor.
