Is paying for a resume worth it?

So like a lot of you, I lost my job last July due to Covid and a company buyout (pretty much everything that could’ve gone wrong all happened at once). I thought my resume was decent, but I recently had it reviewed by a “professional” on some website that was doing a free promotion. She kinda tore it apart but she did have some really good tips and advice. She then obviously went into her sales pitch saying how most recognizable companies put all the resumes they receive through a program that picks out key words, phrases, etc. and they go from there. I was just wondering if it’s actually worth it to pay for a professionally typed resume? If anyone’s had any success/failures with it let’s hear it!
