Co-workers leave my messages on read and my manager is now implying I don’t do anything at my internship. What do I do?

I actually have a few years of work experience but I decided to go back to get another degree. I was hired as an intern at a very prestigious company so I left my job for this opportunity. The only thing is it totally sucks. My manager assigned me a few projects but they’re basically just follow up tasks where I email a few people and put their update into an en excel sheet. It takes me like an hour to do this each week. I’ve tried asking my coworkers for small tasks to work on, but they just ignore me for the most part and I can see that they read the message.

I have weekly meetings with my manager and I told him how these projects aren’t really consistent work and he just started saying about how I need to be communicating with the team more about them even though that’s literally all that I do and they just ignore me. Most likely they’re busy and aware of how pointless the projects I’m assigned to work on are.

Fast forward to today and my manager asked me what I contributed to a specific project. To which I explained it to him. He then followed up with “ok build me a list of everything you work on and how much time you spend on it”. It seems like my manager thinks I don’t do anything, which is technically true, but it’s not like I can do anything about it. None of my coworkers want to share their workload, I can’t make up tasks and I can’t make my projects take any more time than they require.

What the hell am I supposed to be doing? I feel like I don’t even have anyone I can talk to about this because the other intern who is leaving is a borderline psychopath who’s made some very strange comments towards me.
