So I'm going to try and structure this post as if an employer was looking at me in an interview, and reading my resumè, so I guess I should start with who I am first.
I'm 21 years old, male and got my GED in 2019. My main reasons I dropped out of High School was because I was so behind, I would have to take over my Senior Year, even if I passed all my classes, and for mental health reasons. I worked 2 jobs through High School, one being a bagger at the grocery store & the other being a waiter at the nursing home. Those were both summer jobs, so I put in my 2 weeks just before I started school.
After I dropped out I got my GED as soon as possible. I couldn't find anyone that would hire me for a little over a year, until a local Chinese restaurant gave me a chance. I worked there for about eight months, but was then forced to quit because they moved locations and I didn't have a reliable mode of transport to go 6 miles across town. That was August of 2020.
Since then I've been forced to move in with my father - who isn't supportive at all and constantly threatens to kick me out onto the street - and have been completely unmotivated, stressed out and anxious. I do currently suffer with Major Depression and Severe Social Anxiety, but I was told not to disclose that to any employers, because then they have a valid reason not to hire me.
So here's where I'm at in a nutshell: I have applied to over 150+ jobs, ranging from local stores to part-time mail service, to factory jobs & positions at the refinery. I always make sure to call in the middle of the week to keep a potential employer knowing that I am interested. Then, it devolves to either being completely ghosted or "We filled that position already." Out of all of those applications, I've never even gotten close to an interview.
So now, I have no money to pay bills, no mode of transport other than my Lamborfeeties, and a father threatening to kick me out by the end of the month. My internet gets shut off on the 24th, and my phone service on the 26th.
So what the hell am I supposed to do?
