Will drawing NSFW art jeopardize my chances of getting a State IT job?

I’m currently a freshman in college and want to pursue IT as a career.

I post fanart on social media under a username and just recently posted my first NSFW piece. One of family members who were following me saw it and told me to take it down because it’ll stop me from getting accepted.

They told me that the IT State Department can search up anything and will not accept me if they found out I was drawing porn.

I want to draw NSFW and commissions on the side so I can make extra money on the side, but I’m reluctant in taking down my artwork. I never posted my real name nor my real face and use an email that I don’t use to sign up for school related things.

Any insight is appreciated.
