How do I appropriately use leverage of my new offer for my current job?

Hey guys. First time posting here.

I’m a young professional 26, first job in the industry. Today I was fortunate to receive a new job offer. The offer is for the same position I currently hold, just at a new company. The offer includes a full benefit package along with a pay increase that I really want/deserve at this point.

The company I am currently working for holds a special place in my heart but I’m currently full time with no benefits at all. Just getting paid hourly.

Because they did give me an opportunity to break into the industry, I feel like it would be fair to give them an opportunity to match/beat the offer that I got.

How do I go about doing this in the most time efficient AND professional way possible?

Should I go to my direct supervisor and have him address it with his superiors?

Should I go right to the person in charge of making my current position full time with benefits?

I need a little help and advice on how to appropriately go about this... my current company means a lot to me so I definitely don’t want to burn any bridges, but I also want to make sure I explore all options to do what’s best for me.
